The Gospel Spreads

As the historian Luke begins to tell the story of the Day of Pentecost and all that followed, it’s apparent that he’s continuing the narrative right where he left off in the Gospel of Luke. Our theme for this quarter centers on the oft-quoted words of Jesus in Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” What an exciting story Luke tells of the good news of Jesus Christ spreading from Jerusalem all the way to Rome and beyond in less than four decades!
