Anticipating Christ's Coming!

The Illuminate Study Guide is a packet inluding a copy of the Illuminate booklet for study participants and a four-page leaflet of supplemental material for each lesson. Study goals, discussion questions, and lesson application along with the supplemental commentary provide useful tools for the study leader.

When he wrote the book of Revelation from exile on the isle of Patmos, John was deeply concerned about heresy and spiritual laxity in the churches, and was alarmed by signs of the antichrist in the Roman Empire, and thus was also anxious to prepare believers for Christ's Second Coming. Our study of Revelation begins with John's vision of the Lord on Patmos and then continues with six weeks on Christ's revelation to the seven churches of Asia Minor. The final few weeks celebrate the eternal victory of Christ, the Great White Throne Judgement and the new heavens adn the new earth. Our goal in this study is not to look for a biblical timetable on current events but to learn how to be faithful to Christ in the heare-and-now.
