Jesus Christ: Authority and Power

The Illuminate Study Guide is a packet inluding a copy of the Illuminate booklet for study participants and a four-page leaflet of supplemental material for each lesson. Study goals, discussion questions, and lesson application along with the supplemental commentary provide useful tools for the study leader.

If you read the first chapter of Mark in the King James Version, you can't help but be impressed with the frequency of the word immediately. Mark wants to convey that Jesus was a man of action and a man of authority--even a man endowed with supernatural power. The passages chosen for this study accent the power and authority of Jesus Christ and would have commended him to a Roman audience as the very Son of God (15:39). Passages selected also have sought to avid duplications with our studies in Luke and Matthew.
